Sayeh Taheri was born and raised in Iran and currently lives in Canada. She holds a BFA in painting from Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti di Torino (2015) (https://www.albertina.academy/) in Italy and an AA in graphic design from Alzahra Vocational College (Tabriz, Iran).
Sayeh’s artworks are inspired by society, with a significant influence from her home country. You can always find a trace and footprint of her surrounding community in her paintings and drawings.
Subjects such as human life, freedom, immigration, woman, and their struggles during life always motivate Sayeh and are trackable in her artworks. Indeed, Sayeh finds her subjects by watching and getting involved in society and hearing people’s life stories. Finally, as expressed in her works through diverse solo and group exhibitions in Iran, Italy, and the United States, Sayeh hopes to be honest foremost with herself and eventually with others.
